The Renold REGV Series Trapped Roller Freewheels are self-centering using plain bearings. Torque is transmitted to the inner race via a key, while the outer race is driven by the torque arm. The shaft tolerance must be h6. Primarily, these freewheels are used as backstops. They should be mounted onto the machine body by placing brackets on either side of the torque arm or by securing a pin or bolt in the slot. It is important to maintain a clearance of 1% of the slot width between the torque arm and brackets, or between the slot and pin. If a bolt is used instead of a pin, it must not exert any axial loads on the torque arm.
