Renold REUF Series Trapped Roller Freewheels are non-self-centering, meaning that bearings must be positioned next to the freewheel to ensure concentricity between the inner and outer races. Torque is transferred to the inner race via a key, while the outer race is driven either by face keys or an interference fit. When using face keys for torque transmission, the housing tolerance should be H7 to ensure a press fit. If torque is transmitted solely by interference, the housing tolerance should be K6. The housing must be strong enough to withstand the stresses generated by the interference fit. The shaft tolerance should be H6/J6.
