The Full Gear Type XFG Gear Coupling consists of two identical toothed hubs, two flanged sleeves with internal teeth, a flange gasket, a set of flange bolts, nuts, and lock washers, along with lube plugs featuring gaskets and two oil/grease retaining seals over the hubs.
Features of Full Gear Coupling
The standard Full Flexible Gear Coupling, TYPE XFG, accommodates angular, parallel, and axial misalignments (including end float) or a combination of these. It is ideal for horizontal, close-coupled applications, such as fans, overhead cranes, conveyors, and equipment in steel and paper mills. Additionally, one or both hubs can be easily reversed for applications requiring greater shaft separation.
Features of Half Gear Coupling
The standard Half Gear Coupling, TYPE XHG, does not accommodate parallel misalignment. It is primarily used with floating assemblies and is commonly applied in cross travels and long travel line shaft drives.
